Why GreenHD?

Going Green – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Choices: You or Your Company’s big event can have a big impact on the environment; by simply hosting an eco-friendly event one can greatly reduce that damaging carbon footprint.

Carbon Footprint: means your personal contribution of CO2 and other greenhouse gases to the atmosphere through activities such as driving and electricity use.

Weddings are one of our biggest events.  Weddings are a great opportunity to reduce, reuse, and recycle.  The wedding industry has grown to a multibillion-dollar business of excess and ecological damage. One wedding can leave behind one large, environmentally damaging footprint. By choosing to include eco-friendly elements, such as digital cameras and videos into your wedding day, you are expressing to your guests how much you want them to be a part of making the world a better place. You can show everyone that you can have an event of your dreams while being green.   Calculate your footprint by visiting websites like www.carbonfootprint.com.

The Institute for Local Self Reliance (Washington DC) states in the eco-cycle publication, Zero Waste, A New Systems Approach Gaining Global Ground; “Zero waste is a philosophy and a design principle for the 21st century; it is not simply about putting an end to landfilling. Aiming for zero waste is not an end-of-pipe solution. That is why it heralds fundamental change.  Aiming for zero waste means designing products and packaging with reuse and recycling in mind.  It means ending subsidies for wasting. It means closing the gap between landfill prices and their true costs.  It means making manufacturers take responsibility for the entire lifecycle of their products and packaging. Zero waste efforts, just like recycling efforts before, will change the face of solid waste management in the future.  Instead of managing wastes, we will manage resources and strive to eliminate waste.”

How We’re Green!

  • We use rechargeable batteries in our equipment;
